Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific partners Pure Yoga to develop an in-flight wellbeing programme called ‘Travel Well with Yoga.’ Pure Yoga is a large network that has many yoga studios dotted across Asia and North America. The partnership was created in line with Cathay Pacific’s ‘Life Well Travelled’ campaign.
Acclaimed Pure Yoga instructors produced a series of videos with yoga and meditation exercises and tips to help passengers ease into their journeys. Passengers flying Cathay Pacific can watch ‘Travel Well with Yoga’ in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese. The in-flight wellbeing programme applies for all Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon routes. The videos are accessible by navigating to the Lifestyle section on their in-flight entertainment screens.
There are six easy-to-follow videos featuring founding teacher Patrick Creelman and Almen Wong, senior instructor and co-founder of Pure Yoga. These series show yoga and meditation practices that can be done pre-, during, or post-flight. Many of the moves can be performed even when sitting in an Economy Class seat. However, there are also stretches and poses better suited for on-ground practice in a more spacious area. Each exercise is designed to improve circulation, enhance joint mobility, and help guests relax the mind for a comfortable journey.
As an added bonus, all Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club members can enjoy a complimentary 10-day trial, 50 percent discount off studio joining fees, as well as a complimentary upgrade for access to all Pure Yoga studios across Asia.
